R & R Resort Spa and Restaurant is located in Km. 55, Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna, Philippines. The 3,000 square meter property lies within the Pansol Hot Spring area where other resorts are clustered. It is bounded by the 15-meter wide provincial road at the Northeast and the eight-meter service road at the Southeast.

Nestled at the base of dormant volcano Mt. Makiling from where it gets a healthy dose of medicinal sulfuric hot springs, R & R Resort Spa is designed by nature as a health spa, the way spas were meant to be. After all, spa is an acronym for the Latin words salus per aqua, meaning “healing through water”, which described the first Roman bath house.

The Pansol resort spa features a clubhouse/restaurant with conference facilities for corporate groups, a 250-square meter adult pool of natural hot springs with hydrotherapy jets, connected to a 60-square meter kiddie pool, a pool-side karaoke wet bar, and dining sheds. The spa also offers massage/parlor services.

Just a 40-minute drive South from Makati City, is the practical getaway from city noise and pollution. There are plenty of reasons to indulge in good food, like the freshest catch from the Laguna de Bay waters, which are grilled in the traditional way, the freshest greens plucked from organic gardens, and natural juices extracted from the harvested fruits of the season.

Because of it’s immediate proximity to Metro Manila, R & R Resort Spa is a convenient family retreat during weekends. Guests are able to maximize their leisure time at R & R Resort Spa as they spend less time traveling.

Likewise, Metro Manila-based companies who are looking for less formal venue for their seminars get attracted to this resort. As a bonus, even family members are able to tag along and swim in the hot spring pools while the family head is attending a business seminar. For corporate and family gatherings or meetings, the resort can accommodate as many as 125 persons overnight. And for daytime affairs about 500 guests.

Accommodations

There are ten spacious and comfortable family cottages available. Tropical plants like heliconias serve as green buffers between cottages. Each cottage has a floor area of 72 square meters and can accommodate a maximum of eight people.

Each cottage has a covered lanai and a 16-square meter private pool equipped with hydrotherapy jets where one could enjoy a gentle water massage. A log trellis with creeping Yellow Bell vines filter the sunlight over the private pools.

The first level is where the dining and living area is located. A table with four chairs and two sofa beds are provided. The second and third levels are sleeping areas. There are two clean toilet and baths with showers.

The use of coco logs for upper wall panels and asphalt shingles for roofing provide an oriental ambiance and also a very cool indoor temperature.
